Gråsten and district
Gråsten offers a wide range of exciting and interesting sights and experiences. There are innumerable options for tours for nature lovers, families with children, and art and culture lovers. There is good shopping both in the centre of town and in the Ulsnæs Centre, where there are many interesting specialty shops.   The area’s natural environment has both forest and beach. Take a bicycle tour along the track Gendarmstien path past the Okse Islands. There is no finer view.   Below are a number of links to attractive tour destinations.
Gråsten Castle
Gråsten Castle and the castle gardens are attractively surrounded by the south Jutland natural environment with forest and lake. The castle dates from 1759 and replaced several predecessors which occupied the site since the 1500s. Look in at: kongehuset
The Paper Museum City
Visit our big shop in Gråsten Paper Museum City – an 800 m2 indoor mini-city with streets and alleys and a small marketplace. The many houses are bulging with paper hobby articles and our popular paper cuttings. You will also find the little paper museum Det Ganske Lille Papirmuseum here with interesting paper articles from all over the world, and our café, where you can relax over a cup of coffee or a meal. Benniksgaard Golf Center
At Benniksgaard Golf Center we offer a lot of different activities. You can read more about theese at our homepage. Frueskov Lystfiskersø (put and take lake)
Frueskov Lystfiskersø is situated in a scenic and peaceful area close to forest and beach (Flensburg Fjord). There are two lakes totalling 17,000 m2. One is a children’s lake with a depth of 1.5-4 metres; the other has a depth of 4.5-6 metres. Various species of trout from 0.8 to 12 kg are released here four times a day. Gendarmstien
The track Gendarmstien from Padborg to Høruphav is one of the most attractive hiking routes in Denmark. In a historic part of the country and with a changing natural environment accompanying you, it is not difficult to be happy and to admire the historic relics over varying landscapes, and the fantastic views experienced underway. Read more about the delightful Gendarmstien on: gendarmsti    Kirkmajbæk brook, which arises in Buskmose at the old church Den Gamle Kirke, meanders down through the undulating south Jutland terrain and weaves its way through the camping site before running into Flensburg Fjord.

of the country’s five oldest churches. The history is just as long as the church is old. Big things are about to happen in and around the church. After the chancel was excavated, a new altar rail is to be built. And, not least, a grant of DKK 750,000 from the A.P. Møller Trust for restoration of the paintings in the gallery was very welcome. The paintings depict the 12 minor prophets and they have been painted over for centuries. They will now see the light of day again.

The Oldtimer Rally Denmark’s biggest rally on wheels Historic vehicle rally and spare parts market.
Gråsten - Flensburg return. The Oldtimer Rally is for mopeds, motorcycles, scooters and cars, tractors, fire engines and military vehicles from the good old days. Come and see over 1000 beautiful vehicles on Ringrider Square in Gråsten on the last weekend in May.   We always have lots of guests from the rally, so there’s a lively atmosphere at Lærkelunden Camping. oldtimerløbet
